Situated on the east side of Athens, Georgia, Green Acres Church has been part of the community for more than 60 years. With deep roots in the neighborhood, the church was ready for a mark that honored its history while looking ahead. The goal was to preserve its traditional feel while introducing modern touches and creating strong brand continuity. I drew inspiration from the church grounds, the architecture of the main sanctuary, and other architectural elements across the campus. The identity system was heavily influenced by the distinct characteristics found within the icon itself, resulting in a visual language that feels both modern and grounded, while reflecting the church’s core values, love for Christ, and commitment to the community.
